The St Augustine's Table Tennis Centre was borne out of the mutual benefits between the Preston Council and Preston Table Tennis Association. The Council benefited through access to sports funding provided through the olympic sport. The Association benefited through access to a superb sports facility. The centre was first used for the 2005-06 season and is now home to all but nine of the 35 teams in the league.
